Starting the Game[]
I can't get past the Cygames logo![]
Princess Connect isn't supposed to run on emulators/rooted devices so if you're getting stuck, your device is being caught by their detector.
- If you're on an emulator, turn off root on settings. The game will not run on rooted systems.
- If that doesn't fix it, try using an older version of Nox 6.0.1.1
- If that doesn't fix it, try using Dimbreath's Backup
What do I reroll for? Is this a good reroll?[]
- Guide sites such as Appmedia/Gamewith have uploaded their own tier lists:
- You can reroll for any character you like. There are plenty of strong 1~2☆ characters that can fill your team.
- Ideally, you want to reroll for a combination of Makoto and Neneka.
Additional Prifest Characters like Christina, Muimi and Pecorine (Princess) are also welcome, but the Neneka-Makoto combo is your main game carry here.
- How do I actually reroll? See Rerolling Guide.
Is this P2W? What are the advantages of spending real money?[]
Not really. Compared to other gacha games, most characters in this game can be farmed via Hard Mode, Dungeon Coins, and/or Battle/Princess Arena Coins. Clan Coins are debatable since the only way to obtain them is via Clan Battles which only last about one week per month.
The main benefit of spending real money in this game is that you can farm stuff faster compared to those who didn't spend money; there are premium subscription things like extra daily attempt for Exploration Quests or 2x drop in Dungeons that speed up farming. Otherwise it's fine if you don't want to spend your money and just play at your own pace without rushing things or playing competitive modes (like the Arena modes and Clan Battle).
Gameplay[]
Do I lose Stamina when I lose or leave a stage?[]
You lose 1 in Normal stages and 2 in Hard stages if you lose or leave. The game crashing also counts as a loss, so you will lose Stamina if that happens.
How do I recover Stamina?[]
- You recover 1 Stamina every 6 minutes.
- You can generate Stamina passively via a piece of furniture in your Guildhouse up to a max that's based on the level of the furniture (which is capped by your player level).
- There are two dailies that reward 100 Stamina when you log in during a certain period of the day.
- Leveling up refills your Stamina completely.
- You can refill Stamina using premium currency (Jewels) up to 40 times per day.
What should I do with Jewels? Should I roll a Gacha or buy Stamina and Mana?[]
- You get access to the Princess Festival Gacha for the first three days after you make your account. It's full of great units and is your first priority (after Stamina refills) until it goes away.
- Regardless of what point you're at, the first three 40-Jewel Stamina refills are amazing: 120 Jewels for 360 Stamina is phenomenal for making progress. Unless you really want to roll a Gacha, it's a good idea to refill at least three times every day.
- Using the 60-Jewel refills has good value during a Normal Quest 2x Drop campaign. Otherwise it'll eat into your Gacha rolling funds.
- DO NOT buy Mana with Jewels to complete the 'buy Mana' daily mission. It’s a scam.
- Save up your Jewels for 2x Rate Events (more profitable), Princess Festival Gacha or limited events (Summer, Christmas, etc).
What are these purple stones I'm getting when I roll dupes? What are they used for?[]
- Loosely translated, those are Goddess Stones. You can use them in the shop to buy Memory Pieces in the Goddess Stone tab.
- You can only buy Memory Pieces of characters you own from this tab.
- The price of a character's Memory Pieces goes up by 1 each time you've bought 20 of their Pieces, capping at 5 Goddess Stones per Piece.
What's important about the Guildhouse?[]
- There are four pieces of furniture that give you Stamina, Mana, Skip Tickets and EXP Potions over time. These can be upgraded to increase the amount they yield.
- To upgrade furniture, click on the furniture and you'll see a Level Up button (Lvアップ), click that and you'll see the requirements to level it up. Leveling up furniture resets the timer, be careful when you decide to upgrade it!
- Clearing Dungeon bosses for the first time will give you a piece of furniture that gives Stamina over time. Unlike the four pieces of furniture mentioned above, these cannot be upgraded to yield more Stamina.
- You can also give presents you collect to your characters in the guild house to raise their affection.
- If you like customizing, you can decorate your guild house.
Teambuilding[]
Is this a good team comp?[]
- There are a lot of characters that are capable of doing multiple roles so you can take out or add roles depending on your team. Ex. some teams have a self-sustaining front-mid line so you can take out a healer in favor of DPS/Buff/etc.
- Generally speaking, a good comp will consist of 2 tanks, 2 damage dealers and 1 support/healer.
- There isn't one perfect team comp for every map, since some maps need different team set ups. You'll probably need to experiment at certain points.
- The most important thing when doing Quests is to pay attention to what the enemies do since some of them can snipe your backliners or do heavy AoE damage. Change your team accordingly.
Are 1☆ characters good?[]
Definitely! Even though core DPS characters are often 3☆ base, all characters can be raised to 5☆ and lots of 1~2☆ characters bring very unique effects to battle. Ex: Rima is currently part of the PvP meta due to her getting to battle a few seconds late xD
Why can't I decide who goes in front?[]
Every character has a certain range that determines where they'll stand. The lower their range, the closer they'll be to the enemy. This adds depth to strategy since stronger units often have bad positioning so you have to build around them.
Progression[]
My characters won't level up anymore. Did they hit cap?[]
Your characters' levels are capped by your hero level. Once your hero level goes up, they can then gain exp again. If you'd prefer to not waste potential exp points, grind other characters in the meantime.
I can't upgrade my character's skills anymore![]
Why is my character's Bond Rank locked at 4?[]
1-2☆ units cap at Bond Rank 4. Bond Ranks 5~8 are unlocked when a unit reaches 3☆. Farm Memory Pieces if you want to increase the bond further.
I can't get past _____ stage! What do I do?[]
- Try playing around with different team comps; certain characters shine at different stages.
- If you run into a big rock dragon turtle/statue, they can only be damaged by Magical Damage (or poison, but it's easier to just bring a character that does Magical Damage)
- It's possible you're under-leveled/under-geared so try going back and getting equipment to rank up your units.
Should I rush my Rank Up? Should I upgrade my Equipment?[]
- Early on it's much better to rush ranking up, at least to Rank 4 for the character's third skill.
- If you feel you're stuck on a stage or you're going to be in the same rank for a while, upgrading your Equipment will help.
- Equipment upgrading is only a temporary stat boost. None of these stats will carry over when you Rank Up and choosing to Rank Up before fully upgrading your Equipment will not have an effect on the character's final stats.
I heard that you can get everybody to max rarity. How do I do that?[]
- There are drops called Memory Pieces that you can farm from Hard Stages, Dungeons and Arena Battles. You can also buy Memory Pieces of characters you own in the Shop.
- You can check where to obtain them in the limit break/Blossoming tab of the character management screen. Currently the only characters whose Memory Pieces you can't farm are Makoto and Io.
- These can also be used to get a character you don't own once you collect enough Memory Pieces.
- Farming Memory Pieces from Hard Stages is currently abysmal. Arena seems to be okay; Dungeons are the most lucrative.
This Dungeon Boss is so strong. How do I beat it?[]
- Dungeons encourage you to use multiple teams. Even if you don't feel strong enough, it's possible you can throw enough bodies in to kill it. Bosses' HP doesn't reset as long as you don't leave the dungeon.
- If you are only looking for a first-time clear, taking a strong Support Character from a clanmate will help if you're just short of killing it. The Mana you get for hiring one is immediately paid back by killing the boss.
- If all else fails, you need to grind a bit more.
Advanced[]
Any farming tips?[]
- Focusing your farming on areas that have Campaigns running is generally a good idea. Farm Equipment during a x2 Drops in Normal Mode Campaign, farm Memory Pieces from Hard Mode stages during a x2 Drops in Hard Mode Campaign, etc.
- Every Quest stage has particular unlisted sub drops in addition to the three that are shown when you select the stage. These include:
- As you progress, farming certain Equipment ingredients from a higher-level stages where they're a sub drop can be more efficient than farming them directly from a stage where they're a main drop. Appmedia has lists of each stage's full drop tables, beginning with Stage 8.
How do I decide who to bloom first?[]
As Goddess Stones are a really scarce resource for F2P players, the priority for Blooming depends on what you need in your comp right now; if you lack a tank then you should focus on tank characters and such.
Below is a guide showing which characters you should prioritize Blooming if you aren't in any urgent need of a certain role:
- Princess Festival Characters such as Christina, Muimi or Neneka.
- Strong Limited Characters that benefit from more Stars like Summer Makoto and Summer Kyaru.
- Core Characters (Main Tank/Healer/DPS Unit) like Pecorine (Princess), Yukari and Makoto.
Please note that some units are actually better at 3☆. Most of them are support units that have no trouble with sustaining themselves or units that need to use their UB as often as possible like New Year Kyaru or Valentine Shizuru.
